Overview
This policy explains what Exposx stores on your device, which system permissions it may request, and how purchases work. Exposx is designed so your cassettes, frames, and scans remain under your control on this iPhone.

Privacy Policy
Exposx is a local film-roll journal for iPhone. It does not require an account and does not operate a user content cloud.
Data stored on your device
Depending on how you use the app, Exposx may store locally:
- Film rolls (stock, box ISO / rated EI, capacity, status, notes)
- Camera bodies and saved lenses
- Logged frames (aperture, shutter, ISO, scene notes, optional field stills)
- Develop notes, process kind, and lab scans pinned by frame number
- Optional on-location sound notes
- Display name, optional avatar, reminder preferences, and coin balance
This information stays in the Exposx app sandbox. Clearing all data from Me removes journal content from the app. Uninstalling the app removes the sandbox according to iOS behavior.
No Exposx account
Exposx does not create an Exposx user account and does not sync your rolls to an Exposx server. Features that need Apple services (for example In-App Purchases) are handled by Apple on your device / Apple ID.
Camera, Photos, and Microphone
- Camera — optional field stills for frames you log while a cassette is loaded.
- Photo Library — pick field stills and pin returned lab scans onto matching frame numbers; also save exports you confirm.
- Microphone — optional scene sound notes only. Exposx does not turn speech into text.
You can deny any permission and keep using the journal with reduced features.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, Exposx may schedule local reminders (for example when a cassette is full, or when a finished roll may be back from the lab). These reminders are scheduled on device and are not marketing emails from Exposx.
Tracking
Exposx may request the App Tracking Transparency permission to deliver personalized features and optimize your app experience. You can decline and still use all core journal features. You can change this later in iOS Settings.
Purchases
Exposx Coins are consumable Apple In-App Purchases. Apple processes payment. Exposx stores a local coin balance and related purchase identifiers on device so exports and extra cassette slots can be unlocked after a successful action.
Exports you create
When you export a contact sheet, film strip, roll sheet, or field-vs-lab report, files may be written to Photos or shared through the iOS share sheet. Those destinations are controlled by you and by Apple’s sharing UI — Exposx does not upload them to an Exposx cloud.
Children
Exposx is a general productivity / hobby journal and is not directed at children under 13. Do not submit personal information about children through the support email.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and post the new version at this URL. Continued use of Exposx after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
